About Camphill Milton Keynes
The Willen Park and Pennyland Sites |
The Willen Park village is the focus of Camphill Milton Keynes Communities (CMKC). This is where most of the workshops are to be found, together with the office and the café. Most community members live here, and this is where most meetings, and social activities take place.
There are five houses here: Sunwood/Willow-wood, Margaret Powell, Whitethorn, Blackthorn and Appleyard. The houses form a horseshoe around a lawn, where football, cricket, folk dancing and celebrations of all kinds take place.
There are two more houses close to the Willen Park village, in Thorneycroft Lane and Colesbourne Drive, where residents live independently, with co-workers visiting to support them (floating support).

| On the smaller site at Pennyland, there are more workshops (in a building called Michael’s Akyre) and three houses: Oberlin, Soltane and Kazantzakis houses: the last is also a house where residents live independent lives.
The Chrysalis, in the Willen Park village, is a modern multi-function venue which serves as a theatre, concert hall and meeting place for CMKC and for the wider community of Milton Keynes. Follow the link below for more about The Chrysalis.
Work is seen as an important part of people’s lives in CMKC; it helps to develop each individual's full potential and their sense of responsibility and dignity. Our residents choose their workshop activities in close consultation with the workshop coordinators; having made their choice, they are encouraged to remain in that workshop for a certain amount of time in order to develop their skills.
